This policy explains how DJ ("we") collects, uses, stores, shares, and protects your personal information. We are committed to data minimization — collecting only what is necessary to provide the service.

Data Controller

  • This service is operated by manymind.chat. For any privacy-related inquiries, contact support@manymind.chat.

Information We Collect and How

  • Account data: Your Apple account identifier and (if you choose to share) email address, collected via Sign in with Apple only when you explicitly authorize it.
  • Device data: Device model and OS version, collected automatically at app launch for compatibility assurance and diagnostics.
  • Usage data: Feature interaction logs, session duration, and interaction types, generated automatically as you use the service.
  • Voice data: Captured in real-time only when you initiate a voice request. Transmitted via encrypted channels to speech recognition providers and destroyed immediately after processing. We do not store raw voice recordings.
  • Music preferences: Preference data derived from your interactions (e.g., preferred genres, mood patterns), used to deliver personalization.

Purpose and Legal Basis for Processing

  • Provide core services (music programming, DJ commentary, personalization) — based on contract performance
  • Maintain service stability and security (diagnostics, abuse prevention) — based on legitimate interest
  • Improve product experience (usage pattern analysis, recommendation quality) — based on legitimate interest
  • Process voice requests (speech recognition, intent understanding) — based on your explicit consent
  • Comply with legal or regulatory obligations — based on legal obligation

Information Sharing and Third-Party Services

  • We engage the following third-party services to process certain data on our behalf. All third parties are bound by data protection obligations at least equivalent to those described in this policy:
  • LiveKit (real-time communication): Handles real-time audio stream transport. Audio streams are end-to-end encrypted; LiveKit does not store audio content.
  • Deepgram (speech recognition): Converts your voice requests to text. Processing occurs in a secure environment in real-time; audio data is not persistently stored.
  • Cartesia / ElevenLabs (text-to-speech): Converts AI-generated commentary text into natural speech. Only receives text input — no personal information is shared.
  • ZenMux / OpenAI-compatible models (large language models): Powers music programming decisions and commentary generation. Only receives anonymized context — your personal data is not stored by the model provider.
  • Apple (authentication): Manages identity via Sign in with Apple. Apple's privacy policy applies to your Apple account data.
  • We confirm that all third parties with whom user data is shared provide the same or equivalent level of data protection as described in this policy and required by the Apple App Store Review Guidelines.

AI Content and Data Processing

  • AI models are used exclusively for music programming decisions and commentary generation — not for user profiling or fully automated decision-making.
  • Your voice data is processed in real-time during active sessions and purged from the processing pipeline once the session ends.
  • AI models are never trained or fine-tuned using your personal data.
  • Multi-layer content safety filtering is in place to prevent inappropriate output. To report issues, use the in-app report feature or contact support@manymind.chat.

Data Storage and Retention

  • Account data: Retained until you delete your account.
  • Device and usage data: Retained for 90 days for service stability analysis, then automatically deleted.
  • Voice data: Processed in real-time during active sessions only — not persistently stored.
  • Music preference data: Retained until you actively delete it or delete your account.
  • You can view and delete preference data at any time via Settings → Privacy & Memories in the app.
  • When you delete your account, all associated data is permanently erased within 30 days.

International Data Transfers

  • Our service may involve transferring data to servers outside your country of residence for processing.
  • All cross-border transfers occur over encrypted channels and comply with applicable data protection regulations.
  • For EU users, we rely on the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework or Standard Contractual Clauses as the legal mechanism for international transfers.

Your Rights

  • Right of access: You have the right to obtain a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
  • Right to rectification: You have the right to request correction of inaccurate personal data.
  • Right to erasure (right to be forgotten): You may request deletion of your personal data. We process such requests within 30 days of receipt.
  • Right to restriction: You may request that we restrict specific processing activities concerning your personal data.
  • Right to data portability: You may receive your personal data in a structured, commonly used format.
  • Right to withdraw consent: You may revoke permissions (e.g., microphone access) at any time via iOS Settings. Revocation may limit certain features but does not affect other functionality.
  • Right to object: You have the right to object to processing based on legitimate interest.
  • Rights related to automated decision-making: We do not engage in fully automated decision-making. You have the right to human intervention.
  • How to exercise your rights: Use in-app settings or email support@manymind.chat. We respond within 30 days.

Account Deletion

  • You can delete your account at any time via Settings → Account → Delete Account in the app.
  • Alternatively, email support@manymind.chat with the subject 'Account Deletion Request' and your registered email.
  • Upon account deletion, all associated personal data — including preferences, usage logs, and session data — is permanently erased within 30 days.
  • Account deletion is irreversible. Please back up any information you wish to retain before proceeding.

Children's Privacy

  • This service is intended for users aged 17 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors under 17.
  • If you become aware that a minor under 17 has used this service without authorization, please contact us immediately and we will promptly delete the relevant information.

Privacy Policy Updates

  • We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Updated policies will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
  • Material changes will be communicated via in-app notification or email. Continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
